Lucknow: Ayushman Pathak, Aashi Kiran, Aswik Srivastava and Aarushi Yadav emerged champions in their respective categories at the TPL Ranking Uttar Pradesh Tennis Tournament, delivering impressive performances in the finals played.
Ayushman Pathak and Aashi Kiran claimed the boys’ and girls’ Under-14 titles, respectively, while Aswik Srivastava and Aarushi Yadav won the boys’ and girls’ Under-12 crowns.
Organised by SDS Tennis Academy under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association, the tournament was held at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility at La Martiniere College, Lucknow.
In the boys’ Under-14 final, Ayushman Pathak defeated Arnav Srivastava 6-3 to secure the title. Aashi Kiran produced a convincing performance in the girls’ Under-14 final, beating Aadya Bhatnagar 6-2 to emerge champion.
The boys’ Under-12 final witnessed a closely contested battle, with Aswik Srivastava overcoming Mohammad Hamdan 7-5 to lift the trophy. In the girls’ Under-12 category, Aarushi Yadav dominated her final against Anvesha V. Singh, registering a comprehensive 6-1 victory.
At the concluding ceremony, Pawan Sagar, a founding member of SDS Tennis Academy, presented trophies and awards to the winners and runners-up.
Amritanjay Kumar, Sumit, Hind Gaurav Kushwaha, Aryan Kumar, Anuruddh Kumar and others were also present at the closing ceremony.
The tournament provided young players with an opportunity to demonstrate their competitive skills and gain valuable match experience on the state tennis circuit.
